Project Description

The main scope of the project is to maintain urgent potable water supply of Bodrum Peninsula - one of the premium tourism regions of Turkey. The network, which will serve for an existing summer population of 300,000 is designed to supply sufficient water for 650,000 inhabitants. 
The project comprises detailed designs of:
• transmission lines, L=185 721 m
- Polyethylene Pipe (PE): Ø200-Ø250-Ø300 mm, L= 32 654 m 
- Steel Pipe: Ø400-Ø500-Ø600-Ø700-Ø800-Ø900 mm, L= 153 067 m
which will transmit and distribute the water of existing Geyik Dam and groundwater potential of Çamköy, in addition to actual water resources of the peninsula: Mumcular Dam and groundwater wells on the peninsula, 
• new treatment plant (32400 m³/day – 1350 m³/hr), 
• pumping station (Q=233 lt/s, Hm=64 m) 
• 5 groundwater wells and, 
26 reservoirs (2000, 1000, 600, 500 m³ capacity)

Provided Services

- Determination of water demands for years 2020 (437000) and 2030 (641000), 
- Detailed designs of transmission lines, pumping stations, reservoirs and treatment plant, 
- Environmental Impact Report, 
- Quantity-cost estimates and 
- Tender documents for design / turnkey contract for treatment plant and unit price contract for the remaining
